About us

A festival of tradition, creativity and original design

Hand Made Fest – the Festival of Handicrafts, Imagination and Design – is the largest and longest-running festival of its kind in Croatia.

For more than two decades, our three-day event has proudly positioned Pula and the Istrian County as a regional centre of creative industries and has become an essential destination for visitors of all generations who appreciate authentic creativity.

Where it all began

As the pioneer and true original of its kind in the region, Hand Made Fest established the foundations and standards for many similar events throughout Croatia.

The festival began as the visionary idea of its founder, Lela Blekić 25 years ago, at a time before social networks, apps and digital platforms. Over a quarter of a century, this original concept has grown into a recognisable brand with tradition and soul.

Thanks to its clear vision and meaningful purpose, the festival has been recognised by the media, sponsors and the public as an event of exceptional importance since its very first edition.
